As part of my ongoing commitment to excellent customer service, I’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions. If you’re looking for something I've not answered - get in touch today.

What is the return policy?

  • Should you change your mind and wish to return any item that was bought online and delivered to you, I must be notified within 14 days from the date of delivery. Once you've received a response, you have 14 days to return the product. This is at your own cost. The item must be packaged suitably and returned in a perfect and re-saleable condition, otherwise, no refund will be made. Please ensure that you keep proof of postage as I will only accept responsibility for the item once I've received it back.

  • Should the item not be as described or it's of unsatisfactory quality, please get in contact immediately. Any quality issue or damage must be reported to me within 48 hours of the item being received and images need to be provided. I would always encourage you to check the item upon receipt, even if it's a gift for someone else. 

  • Should the packaging be damaged, please report it so I can feed it back, however, unless the item itself is damaged, I will not replace it or refund any cost. 

  • If you have received an agreement stating the faulty item can be returned, this would need to be posted at your own cost initially. Once I have received the return, any refund due will be processed. As I agreed to return the item due to a quality issue or damage, I will refund standard postage, providing I receive a copy of the proof of postage. If a replacement is required, I'll let you know once the new order has been processed. 

  • For any agreed faulty returns, the item must be received back within 21 days of said agreement. 

  • A return address will be given when the return has been agreed upon. Any items sent to any other address other than the one provided, will not be refunded. 

What about delivery?

Prints can be delivered to the UK, most of Europe, the United States of America, Canada and Australia. 

I only offer standard delivery, for now, however, if you are needing it sooner, get in touch and I'll see what can be done. 

  • I aim to deliver within the UK, within 7 working days (the Highlands & islands may take a little longer)

  • I will endeavour to have deliveries to all other areas within 7 - 14 days. 
    *Deliveries are not guaranteed to be tracked.

  • Delivery within the UK is £4.95
    To the United States of America £18
    Australia £15

    Canada £15
    Europe £12

  • Should you miss the delivery from Royal Mail or DPD, you will be left a calling card which will allow you to either rearrange delivery or collect the item from your local Royal Mail sorting office or DPD depot. In some cases, your delivery may be left with your neighbour. Please do not contact me to reschedule the delivery as I'm unable to do this for you. 

How can I pay?

You can pay with:

  • Debit or Credit Card

  • Apple Pay (available in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States only)

  • PayPal
    *Unfortunately, I can't accept payments via Google Pay

Do you offer gift cards?

Unfortunately, this is not something I currently offer.

Are these the only images & products that you offer?

In short, no.
If you see an image on my Instagram, Facebook or my blog posts and you think it would look great on your wall, let me know and I'll get it priced up for you. Likewise, should you be interested in a different crop of one of my images or maybe you want a colour one changed to black and white, not a problem. Get in contact and I'll look into it. I can create the image you want and send you a price and a test copy to ensure it's what you're after.

For now, I'm selling prints only, however, some of the prints come in a window-mount option. If you require something I don't offer, ie, a framed print, just drop me a message and I can look into it for you.

All images for sale on this site were taken by me and are owned by me, Paul Wilkinson.

Is 'View Through the Lens Photography' & 'VTLS Photography' the same business?

Yes. Across my websites, social media accounts and my Facebook group, you will see various but similar names used. 
View through the Lens,
View through the Lens Photography,
View through the Lens Scotland,
and VTLS Photography are all names that are used. All are owned by me, Paul WIlkinson.

Believe it or not, 'View Through the Lens' was the intended name for the website and so it should be, I've been using it for nearly 7 years now! However, I was having trouble setting it up due to the length, so instead, I changed it to VTLS Photography, which is what my Facebook and Instagram accounts were anyway. I do also own, this was my first website and where I wrote my ramblings! It's still there but not getting updated these days. Who knows, maybe I'll find another use for it! 


If the print is larger than A4, it will be sent to you rolled. Prints that are A4 and smaller will be sent to you flat.

Can I change the address?

It is up to you to double-check the delivery address, however, should an error occur and it's within 24 hours of the order being placed, get in contact and I'll see if it's possible. Should the item already been shipped, there is nothing I can do to stop it, it will be delivered as agreed.
